There IS Hope... PDF Print E-mail

There are millions of people who suffer with depression and I'm sad to say that the medical community just doesn't have all the answers. They think they do, but they miss the mark in so many areas. There are different levels of depression. On a scale of 1-10, depression can be very mild and be a 1. It can be to the point of compete despondency and be a 10. Or it can be every level in between. It can land on any of those numbers at any point in a day, with no warning. Many people stay stuck in a range from about 5-8 and cannot seem to break out of it. For those who are close to the 10 mark, we are talking the point of suicide and unfortunately, there are many people who take this way out.  BUT... THERE IS HOPE to be set free from the chains of bondage for which depression holds the key.

Our teaching CD is a six-part teaching taken from our radio broadcasts and will help you learn some things about depression and the roots of it that you may have never known. THERE IS A WAY OUT of the darkness...YOU CAN OVERCOME DEPRESSION!!

Depression is a condition God does not want you to suffer.

Medications and Their Side Effects PDF Print E-mail
Written by Pastor Kimberly Lemler

When we look at the TV these days, there are commercials galore for depression medications. There is even one commercial that advertises a medication to add to your other anti-depressants that don't seem to be working correctly. The side effects to all of these medications are horrendous and we need to be very careful when choosing to take them. A very popular anti-depressant medication on the market today has these side effects listed in the PDR: abnormal dreams, abnormal ejaculation, abnormal vision, anxiety, chest pain, chills, confusion, diarrhea, diminished sex drive, dizziness, dry mouth, flu-like symptoms, flushing, gas, headache, hives, impotence, impaired thinking, insomnia, itching, loss of appetite, nausea, nervousness, rash, seizures, sex-drive changes, sinusitis, sleepiness, sore throat, sweating, tremors, upset stomach, vomiting, weakness, yawning.

Now, after reading all of that, do you want to take the chance in trading your depression symptoms for a bunch of these?? What happens is that we are trading one set of problems for another, and sometimes worse. There IS a more excellent way to overcome depression and our CD, Overcoming Depression, is filled full of common sense and  practical ideas that will bypass all of the unwanted side effects...

Healing Scriptures PDF Print E-mail

I serve the One Whose Name is, "I Am the Lord Who heals you." (Exodus 15:26)

Jesus is the Healer; satan is the oppressor. For Acts 10:38 says "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, Who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil."

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Because I am Christ's, I am a child of Abraham, and according to Jesus in Luke 13:16, I ought to be loosed from all bondage today (because God shows no partiality. Acts 10:34) (Galatians 3:7,29)

Jesus gave me authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt me. (Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17)

Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, which includes all sickness. So I forbid all sickness and disease in my body. (Galatians 3:13; Deuteronomy 28:61)

There shall nothing evil happen to me, neither shall any plague or sickness come near me. (Psalm 91:10)

I serve the Lord my God, and He blesses my bread, and my water, and He has taken sickness away from me. For Jesus, Himself, took my infirmities and bare my sicknesses away. (Exodus 23:25; Matthew 8:17)

Surely He has borne my sicknesses and carried my pains, yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement for my peace was upon Him, and by His stripes I am healed. (Isaiah 53:4,5; 1 Peter 2:24)

Christ my passover was sacrificed for me. So all sickness and death has to pass over me and my household. (1 Corinthians 5:7; Exodus 12)

The Lord has taken away from me all sickness. (Deuteronomy 7:15)

God sent His Word and healed me, and delivered me from destruction. (Psalm 107:20)

I will give attention to God's words, I will incline my ear to His sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I will keep them in my heart. They are life to me for I have found them, and they are health, healing and medicine to all my flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all my iniquities, Who heals all my diseases, Who redeems my life from destruction, Who crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies my mouth with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)

Three Parts PDF Print E-mail
Written by Pastor Kimberly Lemler

Human beings are not one-dimensional. In fact, we are triune beings, meaning that we consist of three parts. We are a SPIRIT, we have a SOUL (body, will, emotions), and we live in a BODY. In order to heal depression, we must treat all three parts. When you go to a doctor, he is most generally concerned with giving you a pill that will help alleviate symptoms, but will not get to the root of the problem.  Your SPIRIT is who you really are. You are SPIRIT. God communicates with us spirit to spirit. Your SOUL is the way you think, your dreams, your desires. The "conscience" should also be included in this definition. The soul is really what most people call "the personality". Our BODIES are obviously our skin, organs, cell, blood, etc.

Depression affects our bodies with symptoms of:  aches and pains, weight loss or gain, constipation, tiredness, loss of appetite, insomnia, and headaches. Depression affects our souls with symptoms of:  hopelessness, pessimism; feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness; difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions; restlessness, irritability; thoughts of suicide and death. Depression affects our spirits by covering our true inner self with a black cloud which interrupts our communication with God.

In our CD, we will help you to understand how to be set free in each realm, bringing complete and total peace and healing to your whole being.
